Hence, do not underestimate the absence of a zester. No matter how small it can be, missing a tool when preparing food could give you discomfort in many different ways.

If I am right, then perhaps you need to search for a new better model and upgrade your kitchen tool. I bet that it tests your patience when it comes to spices too. This is my absolute favorite peeler for making orange swaths for old fashioneds.I feel you when you say that you are tired of using the old zester that gives you a hard time to finish zesting even one lime.

If the skin is too thin it doesn't matter which peeler you use, you'll always cut clean through to the flesh. And it has the serrated cutting edge so it makes a good cut on thick or thin skinned fruits. Makes a great peel with some thickness to it. Lastly my favorite is the Kuhn Rikon Piranha Y peeler. Only downside to this one is that it has trouble on soft, thin skinned fruits. They're easier to express without breaking them in half and they hold a shape better when you twist them. Sharp as hell, a bit beefier and easier to hold on to, but makes a deeper peel. They feel cheap in your hand but I know plenty of people that swear by them. If you want those thin peels the Kuhn Rikon peelers are hands down the best.
